Healing
Healing is a concept relatively broad - it can mean both healing the physical body, healing the psyche, or healing of the soul.
In fact, the traditional academic forms of therapy could also be called healing, but we call them treatment or therapy.
Treatment, therefore, will be the impact of the medication (allopathic), through surgical procedures, or through various forms of physiotherapy, often using modern technological equipment.
While healing is essentially influencing the patient through a positive impact on energy. If, for example, a patient goes to a doctor for medical consultations, the activities of the doctor such as medical diagnosis, or writing a prescription, or referral to testing - are elements of treatment. In contrast, the positive impact of personality and attitude of the doctor could no longer be classified as treatment but healing techniques instead.
For example - in the ancient Greek temples functioned ASKLEPIOS - the god of healing. ASKLEPIOS and its symbol, incidentally, became a symbol of modern health care. Holistic temples were centers of healing. They integrated the elements of typical treatment and healing therapy.
As for treatment, it must be said that a large number of priests living in these temples were able to do some fairly complicated surgical procedures.
Also, the location of these temples were quite specific - often they were situated close to the sources of mineral waters and in other particularly favorable locations for the health.
However, they also used a number of practices typical for healing. In addition to physical activities they also worked with the internal dimension of man. Pilgrims praying for the health remained in the state of contemplation of the mind and observed the following quieting and the dreams, which appeared to them in that particular spot.
As you know even as classical scholar as Sigmund Freud pointed out that through dreams and interpretations we come to better understanding of our interior.
In addition, an important element for the rituals at the temples of ASKLEPIOS was that we could call it "into the sacred circle, sacred dimension". Pilgrim upon entering the temple would left behind all his past and for several days would concentrate only on his interior; washed himself in the holy water sources and only listened to his inner voice.
Years later, with the arrival of the era of the Christianity to Europe the cult of the god healer ASKLEPIOS was replaced by form of worship of Christ the Healer.
Healing was in the early Christian centuries an important integral part of Christian practice. Jesus gained fame as an outstanding and a charismatic healer and in his teachings he said "that and more wonders you will do."
Types of healing:
In general, looking at specific characteristics and practices of healing techniques we can divide them to the following:
-vital healing
-emotional healing
-mental healing
-spiritual healing.
To more clearly illustrate the division let’s consider such hierarchy of beings and creatures:
minerals-plants-animals-man-angel.
As we speak here of the principle of human recovery, and not for example plants and animals recovery, these levels we will apply to man.
But the level of vital force in man has certain analogy to the world of plants.
If through the changes in the diet affect the mineral aspect of the human (we influence the human aspect as a geometric shape and a rock or mineral), vital to the healing (also known as ethereal) we influence the human aspect as a plant.
So: not only the aspect of mineral (man as a rock) may be corrected successfully (e.g. by changing the diet, supplements or pharmaceutical drugs), but also his vital aspect (the man as a plant).
The plant contains some aspect of life. You could speak about a live plant or dried plant. In the western culture this is called the "ethereal", while in the eastern terminology is often known by the name of prana, wind, chi.
If, for example, a person goes to the half-hour walk in the forest, this action may be taken as a vital healing (ethereal, pranic). However, from the point of view of healing, the person - in addition to experiencing calmness and a nice view of the forest – is influenced by the impact of trees bio-field.
Vital energy of field of trees has influence on the vital energy (health, "plant") of man.
Another example of vital healing is a deliberate action of a healer, who has developed a vital force. He can cleanse, and augment the patient's vital force.
Usually this is done through the emotion of his vital energy cumulated in hands. The source of this energy is not only vital force of the personal healer, but he draws on portions of vital energy from the outside - usually by breathing and calming of his mind.
