Meditation
Meditation - as someone said - is "inside" and "outside".
It's a very simple yet full of meaning instruction for meditation, which (if you understand it) can bring about a gradual and efficient growth in meditation.
The fact that meditation is the "inside" means that in meditation we are more aware of the entity - that is our self. Normally (in non-meditative states) very often we accept that what we see is what we hear - etc.
For example, we hear on television about the many problems and we are beginning to worry. But the worrying itself can not help – sometimes it only weakens us.
In meditation, go back to the question: "Who hears?" who sees ", who feels, smells, tastes ... etc. The task of such questions and focus on our subjective body makes us more responsible, and also allows us to take life into our own hands.
Better contact with each other means a better life and this is the meditation.
"Meditation” is the means that enter the balance between the importance and validity of the outside and our self.
Meditation is the "outside" means experiencing inner peace.
This is what Buddha called nirvana, and Jesus - the Kingdom of Heaven, this world (is it the reality) of eternal, timeless peace that is beyond all things and changing things.
We can say that there are some fashion or trends that come on and pass away, there are civilizations that pass away, and we can even say that the galaxies do appear and pass.
However, you can experience the peace that is "out and above of all."
But this is not a dull and dead calm state. Rather, it is forever fresh awareness, it is clear radial and internal dwelling and presence, you can experience it all while being in meditation state.
We can also talk about non dualistic meditation related to integration of all the circumstances.
Non dualistic meditation essentially means two things:
1) When you experience the internal peace, which is "wholly outside" (dharmakaja) - you gradually discover that this reality pervades everything, you are outside of all, but you are not separated from all, you are one with all;
2) The integration of meditation with everyday life, experience of unity and harmony with all, may be made to your daily activities and operations.
The discovery that this aspect alone, is present in everything and you can experience it not only during meditation sessions, but also in all the circumstances of your life. You function experiencing a profound, original harmony.
Someone (a Zen meditation master) gave the example: you go to the bakery and see the cookies in different shapes nicely baked: people, animals, trees, etc. You see the different shapes, but you know that all of them are made from the same flour.
Similarly, all phenomena are "this" (the original light, the presence of the original). You experience both during meditation sessions, as well as in all other circumstances - where you walk, where you work, when reading, when resting, when you speak, etc.
